(diego hasn't been sleeping well lately with all the nightmares, but tonight's was a particularly cruel one. he hadn't thought of that moment in a while, standing there hopelessly with klaus as they cried to their mother to come down before it was too late. desperately looking through the rubble of the academy, trying to find her. needless to say he doesn't think he'll fall back to sleep. which is why he finds himself wandering the ship. the wolves are sleeping so it's just him for once.
until he spots a familiar face staring out at the sea.)
Nightmares getting to you too, sis?
(when diego was blasted into the sixties he became consumed by the idea of saving jfk, as if that could change the people he couldn't save, as if that could make up for the people he couldn't, like grace and patch. or at least it distracted him from those losses. not that he's quite put that all together consciously.
he catches the way allison covers her throat and he doesn't have to guess that she was dreaming about. )
No. Yes. Maybe.
(talking about his feelings has never been his strong point and there's a lot diego has kept to himself -- like who first killed grace. or seeing the human version of her in the 60s.)
